Research Paper Topics About Respiratory System

Research Paper Topics About Respiratory SystemYour research paper should be about a topic that you know something about, but there are some other key factors to consider when choosing research paper topics about respiratory system. Research topics that do not relate to the respiratory system can tend to focus on more generic medical topics. Choose a topic that is related to the respiratory system so that your paper can be more relevant to the needs of a medical career. How do you decide what is a general topic? If you look at the name of the respiratory system, for example, many of the topics are already covered in the title of the article. So if you are writing a paper about echocardiography, which pertains to the heart, there is probably not much you need to write about in the body of the paper. The research paper should reflect the author's opinion, so the pa per should contain a brief description of their work. It is helpful to take notes as you read the papers; this will help you understand the points that the author is making. Finally, it is helpful to consider what format the research paper should be presented in. In the medical world, it is common for authors to be asked to submit papers that are well-organized, which is why most medical journals are format based. The Silent Harm of Plagiarism Essay - 1009 Words

What comes to one’s mind when we think about plagiarism, many people may think of theft or the act of stealing intellectual property. According to Webster-Merriams’ dictionary, plagiarism is â€Å"the act stealing and passing off (the ideas and words of others) as one’s own† (Webster-Merriam). Webster seems to have left a little something out. Plagiarism is not just the act of stealing one’s work. It is also the result of ethical deterioration of academic integrity. This statistically illustrates that plagiarizing has become acceptable among most young adults. In sum, the main issues are the deteriorated integrity of the student when plagiarism occurs and degenerated ethics that happen to lessen one’s morals. The standard views toward plagiarism are obviously seen to carry a negative stigma. Not too many people view plagiarism as a proud action. Why is it that plagiarism now a days is somewhat socially acceptable, but still in our academic culture viewed as cheating and consequently unethical? The Internet is the main breeding ground for plagiarism and the wonderful characteristics of the Internet makes plagiarism a lot easier. Ultimately, what is at stake here is that one will plagiarize from the pressure of achievement and, sadly, the detrimental retribution is the decline of moral philosophy. According to Dordoy 2002 survey, fifty-n ine percent of students plagiarized because they want to get a better grade. Conversely fifty-four percent plagiarized because of laziness (Hart 91). My Perfect Place free essay sample

A poorly painted, black stage has fostered my growth, not only as a performer, but also as a person. On that stage, I know where every small crack or ridge is, I know the best way to pirouette on the rough surface and I know that dancing too close to the pit could land you in the pit. The curtains have become my friends as I’ve tripped over them, ran into them and tugged on them yet they still shield me from the audience and allow my entrances. I’ve formed an unbreakable bond with the stage lights, even though they virtually blind me my first couple of minutes on stage. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love the dressing room. Not only has Dressing Room taught me that make-up can and WILL get on your costume, but that your tap shoes will sound better on tile than the crackly stage, your lipstick will be used if you keep it on the counter and your curling iron will act as a small space heater. We will write a custom essay sample on My Perfect Place or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page The back stage area has seen me cry, laugh and fumble between quick changes. Back stage is where friendships are born, secrets are shared and performances are closely admired. Back stage has also taught me that â€Å"shhh† can be the most aggravating sound. The sound booth has heard my glorious voice cracks, conversations backstage and even my pre-show warm-ups. I’ve spent countless times getting to know the sound technicians of the show and learning about the technology side of the theater, which is something I one day hope to grasp, as difficult as it may be. My favorite place in the entire theater is the rafters above the stagehands, which my director would kill me if he know I was up there; however, there, I can see the lights, the stage, between the curtains and people sharing a laugh or cry in the audience. And up there, I can see my future. Indulging in musical theatre has taught me to never be perfectly content. I do not wish to be complacent, I want to constantly work for and achieve my goals. The work required for progressively evolving into an outstanding performer is rigorous, but worthy and I never truly find myself content with thirty-two pirouettes on pointe, but that is the point. The inanimate friends of mine in the theater have brought me the only sense of contentment I expect to experience. This atmosphere has taught me to savor every moment. Whether I’m belting out on stage or warming up in the dressing room, the theater has already shown me to experience each failure, success, rise and fall because those are going to constantly happen throughout my life.

Transition from traditional education to online learning

The propagation of the internet has initiated an upward trend in the provision of online courses in the United States. Numerous educational institutions are offering online programs in courses with high demand, notably the Information Systems.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Transition from traditional education to online learning specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Among the various business forces that enhance the transition from traditional education to online learning are their affordability, accessibility, effectiveness, and the interaction they offers to their participants. Essentially, 90% of learning entails information transfer from the instructor to the students. The speed of information transfer at any time and anywhere through the internet makes online learning relatively cheap compared to the traditional education system. Latest reports suggest that since 1998, the costs of traditional education in the United States have been soaring at an alarming rate of 5% per annum. However, online learning is exerting downward pressure on these prices. For instance, one community college in Arizona is offering online courses at an affordable cost of $32/credit hour for in-state populace and $67/credit hour for out of state students. Fast acquisition of educational information by students through the internet reduces the time frame for course completion thereby reducing the cost of learning. For example, Officials at University Online Publishing have revealed that online learning reduces the usual 16-week college course to eight weeks making it affordable (Raymond, 2010). The effectiveness of online learning measured by the satisfaction of the learners has influenced the transition from traditional education system tremendously. In many cases, the traditional classroom environment is depicted as teacher centered rather than student centered. The instructor is portrayed as mind numbing lecturer who drones on while the learners sit nonchalantly trying to grasp adequate information for the examination purposes only (Markel, 2004). On the other hand, online learning is acknowledged to be more students centered, collaborative, and provides a democratic learning setting.Advertising Looking for essay on education? The instructors cease from being lecturers, oracles, and information transmitters to being mentors, facilitators, and guides. Moreover, online learning provides the students with an opportunity to focus extra time and attention on precise content areas thus making it more effective than the traditional system where emphasis on various modules or units of a course are at the instructor’s discretion(Raymond, 2010). In any learning experience, interac tion between the participants is a major component and has become the most persistent construct in distance education. Online learning offers the aspect of interaction that is lacking in the previous system, hence its rapid transition. The interaction through emails, bulletin boards and chat rooms has done away with the place and time barriers between physically distant learners and their tutors (Raymond, 2010). This interaction has helped reestablish the classroom setting and permitted students to learn in their convenient time and place. E-learning is also eliminating isolation, advocating for unanticipated encounters and providing intellectual swap valuable to all (Raymond, 2010). In fact, learners through e-learning are able to obtain individual and instant response from both their peers and instructors. Online learning is evidently more advantageous and is being recognized as a suitable education system. This has lead to an extremely rapid transition from the traditional educat ional system. In fact, recent data indicate that part time learners in higher education supersede the number of full time students (Raymond, 2010). Reference Raymond, K. (2010). John Edwards on Foreign Policy essays

John Edwards on Foreign Policy essays The first responsibility of any government is to protect its citizens from harm. Washington must now do much better to make the United States safe in the world. This effort means we have to meet at least three key challenges: eliminating the threat of chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons; winning the war on terrorism; and promoting democracy and freedom around the world. Yet I worry that the Bush administration is failing to achieve this. To eliminate the threat from weapons of mass destruction, we must ensure countries such as Iraq and North Korea abide by their international obligations. That is why I supported the use of force to disarm Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. However, I would first use negotiation, diplomacy and international institutions as the primary tools to resolve friction with other counties rather than military intervention. The war on terrorism will never be won through unilateral American action. Though powerful, the United States cannot be everywhere and learn everything without cooperation from our friends and allies. Al Qaeda alone is known to operate in more than 60 countries. The international community has expressed a willingness to help, but has been kept on the sidelines. The U.S. must bring other countries into this effort, as well as institutions like the United Nations and NATO. Including others will not just increase the likelihood of success but by sharing the costs of this massive effort, the burdens on the American people will be lessened. The United States must also be there to fight terrorism for as long as it takes. I support the rebuilding of Afghanistan and expanding the size and scope of the international peacekeeping force beyond the city of Kabul. As for Iraq, America's postwar policy has been confused and chaotic. The Bush administration has failed to display leadership in post-conflict situations. We must ensure that the Iraqi people - not some puppet government - sh ...
